How To Use ChatGPT To Create Personalized Affirmations

Creating personalized affirmations with ChatGPT can be an empowering process, as it allows you to refine your goals and desires while generating positive statements to support your mindset. 

Let’s start with a list of just the prompts.  Then you can scroll down to look at the example used and sample responses if you choose!


  • Read the ChatGPT responses and edit.
  • Edit the language!  Affirmations work best when they are written in the present, as if they are already happening.  What gets edited and how is up to you.  For the sake of examples, let’s look at affirmations 1-5.  I would edit affirmations 1 and 4 and leave 2, 3, and 5 how they are.
  • You can continually edit your original prompt and/or ask ChatGPT to add or refine.  It is similar to having a conversation.
  • DELETE anything that doesn’t fit what you are going for and/or doesn’t resonate with you.

One method is to use this opening prompt:

GENERAL PROMPT:  “Act as a manifestation guru and I am your client.  Ask me questions about myself to select and develop personalized affirmations for me.”

ChatGPT will then ask you around 10 questions to gather the information needed to create the effective, individualized.  Though you can simply cut and paste the prompt, what you will need to enter in response is quite a lot.  Therefore, my recommendation would be to use one of the avenues below where you can guide the AI toward the energy you are looking for.

If you already know your focus or pause first to figure out what you want to achieve prior to writing the affirmations, consider the methods below and select the one that fits for you!

Method 1:   Ask for Goal or Outcome-Specific Affirmations.  Describe your goal to ChatGPT and the ask for affirmations for achieving your goals.  

PROMPT:  “My goal is [___].  Please write 10 affirmations to support me in manifesting this.”

Choose the number you would like.  I went with 10 so I could select what felt most powerful to me.

For example, I entered:  “My goal is to develop my own business. I dream of working for myself, increasing my income, experiencing financial freedom and security, low stress, and high fulfillment. Please write affirmations to support my manifesting of this life.  Please write in positive language and present tense.”

Here are personalized affirmations tailored to your goals of developing your own business and achieving financial freedom, fulfillment, and a low-stress lifestyle:

1. I am successfully building a thriving business that brings me joy and financial abundance.

2. I attract opportunities that lead to increased income and financial security.

3. I embrace the freedom and flexibility of working for myself, enjoying every moment of my entrepreneurial journey.

4. I create a harmonious work-life balance that allows me to thrive personally and professionally, filled with fulfillment and peace.

5. I am grateful for the steady flow of clients and income that support my dreams and goals.**

6. I effortlessly manage my time and resources, leading to a stress-free and productive work environment.

7. I attract supportive connections and collaborations that elevate my business and expand my reach.

8. I trust in my abilities and decisions, knowing that each step I take leads me closer to my vision of success.

When you reach the point where you get the list like the one above, read the list and modify as needed.  Listen to your gut.

Review #1:

Method 2:  Ask for Specific Affirmations Based on Key Areas   

You may prefer affirmation for key areas. 

PROMPT:  “Please write three affirmations:  one if for [___], one if for [___], and one if for [___].  Please write affirmations to support me in manifesting this.”

I just wrote in a quick, short prompt of: “Please write three affirmations: one for my mindset, one for taking action, and one for attracting abundance.”

I got the following response:

Mindset: I cultivate a positive and empowered mindset, embracing every opportunity for growth and happiness.

Method 3: Customize Based on Your Emotional Needs

You can ask ChatGPT to tailor the affirmations to reflect the emotional state you want to achieve, like calmness, confidence, or excitement:
